Our two sweeties had a visit from MaMa and NaNa

This weekend, we had a visit from my mom and my MaMa, NaNa and MaMa to the girls. They love getting to see the girls, but they only get to see them about once a month or so. The girls played and played, and missed their naps. At about 5:00 when MaMa and NaNa were ready to go, Emma fell sound asleep sitting up! She was really tired! They brought new coloring books, crayons, puzzles, and shoes - more fun for them to have later!

It was raining, and MaMa wears a rain scarf - both girls had to try it on, and we were able to get a few pics - enjoy!

Our busy week

The girls played together great all week, then, had a really busy weekend. On Saturday morning, they went to ballet, then to Eva's 3rd birthday party, then to Grand Piano to ride the carousel, and get their face painted. On Sunday,we had Church, and Sunday School, then the annual Sunday School picnic.

Although they are 14 months apart, the girls are going to the same Sunday School class. They are doing well, and learning about Jesus. This week, they said "God cares about people." That was their Sunday School lesson, the story where Jesus fed the thousands from 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread - they are learning, and we pray, will one day want a personal relationship with Him.

An email from Emma's foster sister in China

June 1 was children's day in China, and her foster mother and her daughter sent Emma gifts in celebration of her first children's day in America. A few weeks ago, I finally sent them some pictures of her opening the package, and also an email to let them know that we were adopting again, and that Emma would have a sister. We included a picture of Allie too, just after we got home with her.

On Friday, I received an email response from her foster sister, Rong, and I sent it to have it translated. I received it back today:

Dear SiQi,
How are you doing! A few days ago a recieved a letter from you and some picures also, thank your mom for sending this to us. We are very happy to the pictures. We can see from the pictures that you have grown up a lot and are taller than you were before. You are so cute, and you look like an angel. Your sister also looks very sweet and cute in the picture. The picture makes me want to hug you and kiss you. You look so happy, you are lucky to have your forever family with your parents and brother and sister. You also have a kind and loving mom who takes good care of you. I thank her and love her taking care of you. In a few days it will be Chinese traditional Autum moon festival. During this time all families will try to get together. During this time momy and I will miss you very much.Dear sister I wish that you could spend this festival with us. I also wish that you will be healthy and happy each day.
Your Chinese Sister,
Rong

Here is a picture of Emma opening her presents, and one of her and her foster sister in China, and the foster mother who took such good care of her and loved her very much...

Becoming best friends

The girls are becoming really good friends, playing more and more together, and sharing better every day. It just warms my heart to see them loving on each other, and looking out for each other. They are true treasures from Heaven!

A few of the pictures are from last Sunday, and the rest from this week. They have played doctor - taking temps, putting on bandaids, so cute!! And, they like to rock their puppies they made at Build-a-Bear.

Haven't posted in a while...

so, I am playing catch-up! We have had a busy couple of weeks, including the girls first trip to the beach as sisters. We had a great time, and they loved the water - the ocean, pool, splash zone, all of it. We shopped at the outlet mall, the big mall, and spent a couple hours at Broadway at the Beach and Build-a-Bear - a big hit! Since we had so many pictures, including a new haircut before our trip for Emma, and a few pics since getting home, I did different slide shows...enjoy!!
