Sunday Smiles

Allie is healing really well!  Her appointment at the clinic Thursday was great!  The doctor said to give it a month, and start to massage her lip, and that would help the healing and muscle tone.  The girls just love each other so much!  Tonight, Emma went to the grocery store with me, and Allie stayed home with Bobby.  When we got back, you would have thought we had been gone for days - the girls just hugged each other, and held hands - they are so cute together!

On another cute note, Josh is dating a sweet girl named Jessica who has a beautiful 16 month old little boy.  I have included a pic of them after church today too in our slide show...

Sunday Smiles

Allie is really healing well!  The steri-strips came off yesterday, and she's still a little swollen and bruised, but she looks so cute!  Here are a few pics from Saturday and today, days 10 and 11 post op, and just some pics of  two sweet, lovey sisters...

Praises, Allie's surgery went great!

Allie did really well with her surgery, and you can already tell such a difference!  She is swollen, but doing great!  The ENT had asked for her ears to be cleaned really well since he couldn't really see them well - they did, and she needed tubes, so they did that while she was under, then started the lip and rhinoplasti surgery.  It started out that we were supposed to be there at 5:15 am for the 7:15 slot - on our way Wednesday night, they called, and said we didn't have to be there until 11:00, for 1:00 surgery - we got there about 10:40, and surgery wound up not starting until 3:30.  What was supposed to be 2-2 1/2 hours turned into almost 4 hours, and we didn't see her again until about 7:20!  We were getting worried!  She had a tough time waking up at first, and just cried and cried.  They gave her a little more medicine to knock her out again - though a much lower dose, and in 15 minutes, she awoke much happier!  After intensive care, they did admit her since the surgery had been so late, and given that we live an hour and a half from the hospital.  She is so sweet - they gave her a bunch of Dora stickers, and she said, "Can I have some for my sister, please?" - the nurses all said "AW" together - funny!  She was a popular little girl in the hospital!  The hospital pre-school teacher came by this morning, and offered Allie the opportunity to go to preschool - she wanted to go, so we did, and she had a great time!  It gave us all something to do while we waited on her discharge papers - we got to leave around 11:30 or so, and BOY are we glad to be home!!  Here are a few pics from our venture...

Allis has surgery tomorrow morning!

Pray for sweet Allie as we head to the hospital early tomorrow morning for her lip revision.  We will be leaving Emma with MaMa and PaPa since she won't be allowed at the hospital.  Pray she does well away from mom and baba too!

Praises, Emma's appointments went great, and we had lots of fun!

Emma had her 6 month appointment with the pediatric orthopedic doctor, and the pediatric urologist at Johns Hopkins on Thursday.  Both gave us great reports, and don't need to see her back for a year!  Praise the Lord, she is doing really great!  After our appointments, we stopped by the inner harbor since it was such a gorgeous day.  Whenever we head up north, we try to visit our wonderful friends in Hershey, PA - we got to visit them this time, and had a wonderful time!  Roger & Michelle are so great to welcome us into their home - we consider them part of our family!  Michelle and Meigan had picked out pumpkins, and the girls all carved pumpkins on Thursday evening, and Meigan, Allie and Emma just played and played, and played some more - I think we went to bed just before mid-night on Thursday night - then hit Chuck E Cheese on Friday for more fun!  Another adoptive mom, Kelly, and their precious Cammie were able to join us there as well!  We all got together for the first time over 3 years ago when we were all waiting on our referrals - now we all have our precious girls at home, and are forever bonded as friends as a result of this journey in faith together.  On our trip home on Saturday, we stopped off at the DC Zoo - the girls really enjoy seeing all the different animals, then we headed on back home.  Since there were so many pics, I made 3 different slide shows...
