Gatlinburg Labor Day Weekend

We went to Gatlinburg with Josh for the weekend, and everyone had a great time - the girls played, swam, rode rides, and really enjoyed spending time with their brother. Here are a few pics from the weekend...

I Can't Believe I Didn't Post Allie's Gotcha Day!!

I posted Allie's gotcha day on FB, and not on our blog, so although late, I wanted to be sure to post here too!! I have so little computer time these days, but still, don't know how I missed it! July 14 was the 4th anniversary since sweet Allie joined our family - she is such a little thing still! This is the same outfit that she had on when they brought her to us- she will probably be able to wear it until she's in high school!! She is never still, and, loves to sing, dance, and just be busy every second. Can't wait to see what she will be when she grows up - something NOT at a desk, I can guarantee!!

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, EMMA!!!

I can't believe it's been 5 years today, since our first daughter was placed in our arms in Nanning, China. She was such a tiny little thing!! At 18 months, she was wearing 6-9 month clothes. She's still a tiny thing, and at 6.5, is just now in 4Ts. She has a huge heart, and, much different from when they handed her to us, she loves her mommie! Those first 8 days in China, she wouldn't even let me hold her - boy was that tough, since I had waited 20 years for my first little girl! She is such a sweet little girl, and is getting ready to start first grade next week. She's smart, funny, and has been an amazing blessing to our family. Here are a few pictures of her in the same outfit she was wearing the day she became our Emma.

LiYang is such a sweet young girl, and loves to take pictures - she also loves to draw pictures. She drew the two below this weekend - the first is of herself, the second one is of our friends youngest, who turned 6 on Friday.

Happy Birthday Lainey!

Our sweet friends youngest had her 6th birthday party on Saturday, and had us over for a cook-out, and outdoor play. Everyone had a great time!

Happy Memorial Day!!

We spent some of the weekend at our local "Festival in the Park" - the girls played in the bubbles, made all kinds of arts/crafts, and had a great time...

Another Talented Girl!!

LiYang is an extremely talented artist!! She can do most anything involving art! We are very proud of her efforts in last night's art show!!
