Back to work!!

Well, the CCAA goes back to work tonight while we sleep. Our agency should be following up on the status of our request for the file for SiQi this week, so we are hoping for at least a response as to whether or not her file will be sent to our agency. The next question would be.........................WHEN????????????????

Our agency already has all our paperwork, our letter of intent, and other stuff China requires when requesting a SN child. It has already been sealed, and is ready to go as soon as the file comes in. Please pray that it does, and SOON!!!

Another confirmation of sorts...

We also received an email from our agency that the director made their request for SiQi's file while he was in China last week. Since the CCAA is closed this week, we won't have any news until next week, but we are remaining optimistic that we will still be able to adopt her.

Delivery Confirmation

Well, we received an email today, that SiQi's file was delivered to the CCAA. Now, we just need to pray that it will be sent to Living Hope, our adoption agency, and that it will be sent quickly.

We appreciate all prayers!

Today, she is 15 months old!!

There have been some new developments, and we are again trying to adopt Guo SiQi. The agency that had her file has released it back to China with a request that it be sent to our agency. At the same time, our agency has also made a request for her file.

IF her file does go to our agency, then we will be able to adopt this precious little girl! Please pray for this to happen. She desperately needs a family, and needs her medical problem addressed quickly.

At this time, we are cautiously optimistic, because we know of four other families who have been told by CCAA that this is the new method for handling these types of cases where a child is found on other than the prospective family's agency listing. All four families are going about this in the same manner now, and all are hopeful for a positive outcome.

We hope to be able to post pictures again soon, with a great announcement. Please keep her in your prayers.

Will our baby be born in the Year of the Boar?

The Year of the Pig:
1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007

People born in the Year of the Pig are chivalrous and gallant. Whatever they do, they do with all their strength. For Boar Year people, there is no left or right and there is no retreat. They have tremendous fortitude and great honesty. They don't make many friends but they make them for life, and anyone having a Boar Year friend is fortunate for they are extremely loyal. They don't talk much but have a great thirst for knowledge. They study a great deal and are generally well informed. Boar people are quick tempered, yet they hate arguments and quarreling. They are kind to their loved ones. No matter how bad problems seem to be, Boar people try to work them out, honestly if sometimes impulsively. They are most compatible with Rabbits and Sheep.

April 2007 referral update from CCAA site

This means that dossiers logged in by March 31, 2006 have been through the review process and are now waiting somewhere amidst thousands of other dossier to be matched with a child.

And...that children have been matched or referred to those families whose dossiers were logged in up to and including October 26, 2005 - this is only two days past the date of last months referrals - probably adds several more months to our ever extending wait for the little one God has for us.
The current wait from LID to referral is now 18 months, and appears to continue to be increasing.

Sad news from China Friday

We received word Friday from China that they are no longer going to allow families to change agencies in order to adopt a specific child. For us, this means that we will not be allowed to adopt this precious little girl, SiQi, as we have been hoping and praying to do.

We are waiting on word from CCAA hopefully Monday to know if they still have our dossier and our original LID of 3/20/06. Our hearts are broken because we love this child, and felt we were to be her parents. God does have a plan, and, though we are so sad, we trust in what He has for our future.

We will post again when we know a little more, but for now, all prayers are deeply appreciated. CCAA said that they have referred this little girl to another family, so there is nothing we can do except to pray that the family who will be receiving her will raise her in a Christian home so that she will come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
